Thank you for your interesting site! My great aunt was a LaChance. She was born Lumina Coutu and she married a man, I don't have the name with me right now, LaChance. He had many children previously. She is originally from Biddeford Maine where she died several years ago. I Would like to hear from you if you have heard of this name.
Thank you,
Brian

Enjoyed your website. My parents were Alexander Chamberland who married Hildegarde Lachance. My maternal grandparents were Pierre Lachance who married Laura Piette. I would love to trace my family heritage back to the first Lachance (or Pepin) that migrated to Canada from France. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank, Roger Chamberland

Referred by Roger Sutton, Lewiston, Maine. I met Roger on 13 Sept. at a Malo gathering for my benefit at Diane Williams house.
I was married to Muriel Gagne, who passed away on 8 June, daughter of Joseph Gagne & Clairilda Malo, sister of Louis Malo who built St Peter & St Paul Basilica. I also lived in Jacksonville 1954-57, while in the military. This may also show roym88@msn.com. I prefer the WebTV address which is much easier to use for a computer novice.

Have been following Audet dit Lapointe back. I found a marriage between Joseph Antion Audet dit Lapointe and Marie Joseph Pepin dit Lachance on 24 Nov 1742. Marie Joseph's father was Joseph Pepin dit Lapointe. I found your site extremely interesting because Nicolas Audet dit Lapointe was also one of the original settlers on the Isle of Orleans. Thank you for the history lesson and the links.

I have left message a few years ago on your message board and received a response but the best part is that one of my distant cousins in Canada saw the posting and emailed me. Although I have not heard back from her since last Nov, I am hopeful that she will trust enough to contact me again. Thank you for your wonderful website.

My father's name was Lawrence LaChance and he was the son of Mose LaChance and Elizabeth Lafenier. He was born in Michigan on 5/29/1909. Mose LaChance was one of several brothers who, after family disputes, lost track of one another (or at least their families did). Thank you for the website.

Larry I am very glad I have had the opportunity to meet you. I have spent many unsuccessful attempts of finding family, just recently I was given a list of relatives of Ezilda Lachance going back to 1453. That's how I found you and your page.
