Here I am, signing my own guest book yet again. This time, 6 years later, with a brand new domain, a new look for the site, and everything housed right here on this site. Thanks for all of the support at Lachances.net...I look forward to continuing the search here. Now, let's see if this works!

Your host, Larry Lachance

I thought August Ferdinand LaChance b-09/13/1869 was my great grandfather, but now I'm not sure. With the research my sister & I have done, we have him married to Emma Anna Becker & they had a son (my grandfather)Martin August LaChance b - 04/17/1896. My father was Martin Forest LaChance b-11/07-1925. I have a Baptismal Certificate for August Ferdinand LaChance^Pepin which shows his b-9/3/1869 parents as August LaChance & Mary Crump.
You have a wonderful site ~ very informative ~ easy to navigate. If any of those names and dates mean anything to you please let me know when you get a chance. ~Thank You~

I don't have much information regarding my ancestry and I found your page; it's very interesting and even though we may not be related in the least bit, it inspires me to keep looking and find out more about who I am and where I came from! My father (whom I got my name from) passed away when I was 16 and I never knew him or his side of the family well.

You have a very interesting and informative site here. I guess that I may be distantly related to your family line from Marie Henrietta DeKerlegand but, I don't know if/how I am related to her. This type of website is something I may have to do for my family some day.

Love your site very informative, unfortunately I was unable to find any information on my line through your site I hope someone will see this and email me with some. My Pepere's name was Francis t. Lachance I know his mother was native American and that he lived in Woodstock CT as a Truck driver/farmer with my Memere. They had 5 children 1 boy and 4 girls. My uncle Armand drowned as a young man, Beatrice my mother and her three sisters (Esther, Shirley and Carol) all live in Connecticut. Please if anyone has any information on this line please email me, I have been trying to research this for 10 years now and that's all I have. Thank YOU!

Hello, What a wonderful sight you have. Wish I could even manage to get my Great Grandparents names but unfortunately it has been like finding a needle in a hay stack. Mostly because I was raised in a home where you were allowed to call the adults by first names it was either Mom, Dad, Pepere or Memere well I guess you understand. My Father passed away when he was 29 so I was to young to even understand about family ties. Maybe you might be able to shed some light for me.

Noticed this web site address in information about my SEAMARK family tree. I was wondering what the connection was.

Let's see here... uh, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. And oh, did I say thank you?
About 5 years ago I went on a search for our family tree when I was pregnant w/ my 2nd daughter. We were told by a geneticist that we were at risk of carrying Tay Sachs because we are both of French Canadian ancestry. After a search I learned my ancestors in Canada are in the LaChance family. I wrote down all the info and tucked it away. Thankfully, our daughter is fine. My husband is a potential carrier of TS but I'm clear. Today, I found your site and was ready to be disappointed again. Nope... there my grandparents are!! Narcisse Pepin dit LaChance is my great great grandfather. Francois and Cecile Pouilot my great great great grandparents and so forth. Thank you for your time and energy that you have invested into this.

I'm from the Lachance, McCuaig line. Descendant of Julien Lachance and Mary McCuaig. For some strange reason I've taken a sudden interest in the Lachance genealogy
