Your site is great, Larry. I'm originally from Western Massachusetts. My great-great grandfather was Pierre LaChance, married to Adele (Gosselin); said to have been in Isle d'Orleans, Quebec/Ste Anne de Beaupre.
My great-grandfather was Gabriel LaChance who was born in Canada and married Ophilia (Desroches) in 1889 in Lewiston, Maine.
My grandfather was Alphonse George LaChance, born in St Croix, Canada in 1894. I read all your guest book entries and found a couple of people to contact. I include this info in case any reader has info for me. Thanks again, Donna

Thank you for your help on my daughter's Lachance background. You sure know your Lachance Ancestry. It's a lot of work.

I have found this site, and in effect am a Joseph LaChance the third
My father Joseph Bruce LaChance was the son of Joseph Ambrose LaChance and Irene Carter. This is about as far back as I personally know about my family line, but if anyone has any info please let me know. Great Site, very informative.

Thanks
Joe

Very nice site, I enjoyed the stories from your trip to Quebec. In doing my nephew's tree I noticed a few connections, on the LaChance line. Keep up the good work and I will talk to you on the Quebec chat site. ROOTS

I was introduced to genealogy back in 1990 and have been extremely blessed in discovering my direct lines, LACHANCE (paternal) and TREMBLAY (maternal). Truly a great heritage!!!

I was searching family names - I have lots of Laflamme cousins in Alberta Canada - Pete and Noella Laflamme were the parents, and Pete's mother was Marie Louie Audet - sister to my paternal grandmother, Philomene Audet (who married my grandfather, Desiree Moras dit DeMoras dit DeMorasse). The Audets from Buckland Quebec (north east part of Quebec).

My mother- Marie Gilberte Emma Julie DeMoras - called herself Gilberte. Her mother was Euprhosine Pepin and she married my grandfather, Cyprien DeMoras (dit DeMorasse, dit Moras) around late 1890s. They had 8 children - Rosario DeMorasse in 1900 - he was a religious brother in Ancienne Lorette, Quebec and did genealogy on the "Moras" family.

I live in San Pedro, California, and belong to Southern California Genealogical Society.

I was going to respond that I have a Angelique Pepin dit/Lachance who married Joseph Laflamme dit/Quemineir in 1706 and they had a child Michel Laflamme dit/Quimineur who married Clair Blanchette in 1763 and found the names linked to a Lachance. I am not sure if I am on the correct lineage, but do remember a cousin Sue Lachance that I went to grammar school with and another cousin Lachance who was a milk man. any response would be helpful since I am a beginner at this. Your Lachance site is fabulous...lots of hard work, time and creativity!!!

Searching for my LaChance relatives who would be descended from Mary Johnston and Philip LaChance who married and lived at St Jean's Quebec back in the 1920's. Mary was my grandmother's older sister. Mary went to Canada, my grandmother, Edith, went to US. Hope to make a connection.

Great web site
