Like everyone else, looking for my roots. Nice page but for some reason could not get to your surname list, maybe try again later. About me - I know great grandparents names but can not go beyond. I am from Madison Co., Mo. and know Ste. Genevieve, Mo plays a part with Antoine, Gabriel, and William La Chance in the 1830 time frame, and then on to Canada I think. thanks for a neat page.

Found some info thru your site that matched genealogical info I already have, going back to the 17th century, on both the Bourque and Simard sides of my family. I can probably fill in some holes with some of my info, too. It's a great thing you've done keeping family history alive.

Love the page, wondering where to find more info about my past and where my family originated. Is there a coat of arms, a crest? I want to know as much as possible.

It's very cool to see our family tree. Thank you for this site. If you have questions about my father and grand-father just ask. Excuse me for my English, I don't speak and write very good.

I am fairly unfamiliar with my grandparents lineage. My father parents and other family were from Vermont and New Hampshire. My father was born in Beecher Falls, Vermont in 1917. His name was Alva Joseph Lachance. My father's family all spoke fluent French. However, like yourself, I do not speak French, only English. I was born in Portland, Maine, but I grew up in Madison, Maine. I have 7 siblings as follows from oldest to youngest; Rita, Roger, Roland, Robert, Richard, Raymond, (myself), and LeeAnn.

My grandfather, Patrick Edward LaChance Sr., originally came from either northern Vermont or New Hampshire area and spoke French. He and my grandmother moved down to Alexandria, VA when he was a young adult to pursue a career in carpentry and masonry. He built quite a few houses in the Alexandria area. Most of my family lives in and around the northern Virginia area. If you have any information on his ancestors, please let me know. Thanks.

Great page. I took mine off so that my wife could do her classroom. I have a lot of data on La Chances, Smiths Laskeys' and Wicketts.

Hi Larry! I was born in 1979 and have an older brother, Chad Allen, who was born in 1978. We were born and raised in Maine. We have never met our father, Raymond LaChance, and my mother, Kimberly, knows nothing about my families past. I am hoping that you could help me contact family members so I am able to answer the many questions that I have about my past. I appreciate your site and want you to know that your efforts are very much appreciated. Mercie' Josh LaChance

My family are from St Louis area and different parts of Wisc. and Ill. My grandfather lived many years in Iowa. I was born in Hinsdale Ill. and lived in southern Wisc. until I was 10 years old then moved to south Texas. I have now lived in Hawaii for about 14 years. Very happy to find your web page. Aloha from the Hawaiian Islands...
