My Papa was from New Brunswick. His name was Leo/Leon Joseph Lachance. I don't have a lot of info on his family. I do know his Dad's names was Frederick. My Dad's name was Leo and his brothers names; Robert, Richard, Raymond, Andre W. and my Dad, Leo. I know my papa was married one time prior to his 2nd wife, Tess to whom he had children with. My whole family originated in Brooklyn, NY, Flatbush Ave. area. Well I'll be back because I'm working right now and I did pass along your web site to my brothers. I think they will find it very interesting.

Great page Larry! It saves a lot of people MANY hours of work! Thank you.
I found a guest here, her husbands father, that is my grandfathers brother! I'm also looking for a J Henry Paradis, who was a minister. He is also related to the Lachance line, or a very good friend, based on the number of pictures I have of him. Also looking for info on Aime J. Forand.
Thanks Again!

We're not directly related, although Blouins have married into the Pepin dit Lachance line a number of times, and your site has been very helpful, not to mention top-rate; birth & death dates-you've done a lot of work! It's really Good-what can I say? Two sites I would recommend-The PDRH-Programme de Recherche en D?mographie Historique, for less than a nickel CAN$ a "hit"- about all the civil and parish data to 1800-the good stuff minus the ritual boilerplate: http://www.genealogy.umontreal.ca. Also, The Parchemin: about 15% of the notarial records of Quebec, short form, though primary and rich-www.cdnq.org/ Thanx an' a tip o' th' Hat, John

Dear Larry, We are fourth cuz or something. I sent you an email, My greatgranddad Ludger is your greatgrandad's brother (Joseph). I will recommend this site to my huge family (over 100 and still counting) and that's the cuz and kids. I am currently writing a book for my immediate family on the Lachances. It about my grandparents, their kids, their ancestry, anecdotes, pics, addresses, calendars, ALL that I can get, actually. I hope to finish it soon. However, coming across this wonderful website has made me think: A homepage for my family, linking up to yours maybe???I'm not a wiz when it comes to this stuff...Anyway, have a good day, Joanne

Great page - many hours of work and wonderful that you share this information. I notice you have a John Dubil who married Susan Marie Grant. I am researching the Dubil family and would appreciate any contact information you have for John, Sarah or any relatives. If you cannot pass this information directly please pass my email address to any relatives in the Dubil line and ask them to get in touch with me. Once again thank-you. Kind regards,
