Hi Larry, sharing LaChance family information from the Lewiston Maine area. I don't know if there is a relation to Pepin but sharing additional information that maybe you can say yes or no there is a relation?  My grandfather is Wilfred LaChance and he had a brother Armand LaChance. His son/my dad is Gerard P LaChance (1925). Additional sons of Wilfrid are Lionel, Roland, Donald, Maurice LaChance all from the Lewiston Maine area. Wilfred was married to Alexandrine. My father often spoke of a cousin who was somewhat of a famous boxer (welter weight) by the name of 'Lefty' LaChance from the same area but don't know he real name. I believe he fought Willy Pep? I saw the Lewiston connection in your website and thought I would share.[comment]Thanks for sharing.  The boxer cousin, who indeed did fight with Willy Pep, was Jean Maurice Lachance (aka Lefty) who died in 1994. Your grandfather and father are both in the database with your line going backwards to Antoine Pepin dit Lachance.  Other Pepin's may also be related because it was our original name but, there are other Pepin families who came to Quebec that have not been proven to be related to ours.
