AUBURN - Funeral services for Fernand (Fern) L. Pontbriand were held Wednesday (8/13/2003) at St. Louis Church following prayers at Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel. Rev. Kevin Martin concelebrated the Mass with Rev. Normand Carpentier, Rev. Roger Chabot, and Rev. Richard St. Cyr. Father Martin recited committal prayers at the interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. Our country's flag was folded and presented following the committal to Fern's brother, Bert Pontibriand. The bearers were Peter Durgin, Bernard Turner, Paul Cutter, Scott Chapman, John Mooney, Thomas Pontbriand, Edward Pontbriand, and Mark Pontbriand. Honoree bearers were Robert Pontbriand, and Steve Bartasuis.
