Welcome to the Lachance (Pepin dit Lachance), and related families, data
collection resource! The existing data has been collected from
many sources, on many families, in my quest to identify all of the Lachance
family in the US and other parts of the world. Every Lachance in the current
database has ties to Antoine Pepin dit Lachance and his marriage to Marie
Teste from Île d'Orléans, Québec, Canada.
To help fill in the blanks I have an "ON LINE Family
Group Sheet" for you to use to add your family information and
assist in the building of this database.
Start with what you already know about your own family
history - and then work backward. You may want to
look through the current Surnames list to see what I may
already have about your line, if anything. Just click
on "Names Database" link in the navigation bar.
Most likley, you won't be able to complete this form without
some digging through your records. May I suggest that you enter
what you know, print out the result, and then work on the remaining data
as you have time.
Use the form (linked at the bottom of
this page) to submit your LACHANCE ancestor or family information
as well as to add his/her spouse and children. This form is simply a place
for people to provide their own information so it can be added to the
database and posted to the online database when the surname list is next
updated. This is NOT a commercial venture and "private" information
remains "private". The database on this site is here so
ALL Lachances and our relatives have a resource to "find our humble beginnings".
Hopefully this will lead to possible connections with other descendants.
Fill out only the children that you have information on...it does not
have to be complete. Please leave any fields that don't apply, blank.
NOTICE: NO
information about ANY living individual, other than the name and where
they fit into the family is published to the net. Further, "particulars"
about any individual born after 1920 is also kept private. See
